A form of orthostatic intolerance, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) is a condition that causes impaired circulation. The condition typically manifests when a person stands up following time in a supine position. Lightheadedness, fainting spells, and a noticeable, rapid increase in heart rate rank among the most commonly observed symptoms of POTS. In most situations, individuals can mitigate the effects of these symptoms by sitting or lying down.
Each patient’s experience with POTS is unique. In some cases, POTS poses a frequent challenge to daily life, while other individuals may see their symptoms come and go over the years. For many people, changes in diet and physical activity, along with medication, can make a significant impact in regard to quality of life.

Treatment for Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome
Based in Dallas, Texas, POTS Treatment Center is a facility for patients with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS). Over the years, POTS Treatment Center has received positive reviews from patients who improved after their stay at the center. One of these patients is a woman named Marissa.
Marissa had POTS for two years. She even gave birth to her baby while she had POTS. Her symptoms included daily severe migraines, lightheadedness, insomnia, anxiety, depression, and chronic fatigue. She had gone to many doctors and tried a long list of medications, but her symptoms worsened.
Finally, Marissa started the program at POTS Treatment Center. Two weeks later, she was feeling better than she had felt in years. Her migraines were gone, her lightheadedness had improved, and she experienced fewer periods of anxiety.
Marissa’s hope for the future improved dramatically, and she was excited about spending time with her son outdoors. She was most grateful for the members of the medical team at POTS Treatment Center who explained what was happening to her and what she needed to do to help her mind and body heal.
